Its been to long!

Sorry everyone, it has been months since the last time I posted!

We have been so busy the past few months! At the beginning of February we started looking for homes and by the end of February we found the house of our dreams and closed on it! We moved in at the beginning of March and have been doing projects like painting, yard work, decorating, and getting used to cleaning a much place. I must say Ross and Goodwill are definitly the places to get decorations for fabulous prices

I have also really started cuponing, like seriously taking the time to make sure I get the best deals. For instnance I got two tubs of Country Crock butter for -22 cents a piece! I made 44 cents buying the butter...its great. Today I spent $32.00 for over $100.00 worth of groceries! It is definitly worth the two hours each weekend to make it happen.

We have also started a small group through church. We are with 3 other couples that we LOVE spending time with and we are continuing our walk with Christ togeather and learning how to be married with Christ in the center!

I also quit Facebook a while. It has been nice not waiting to much time on envying other people. I am learning to be thankful for what I have and the women that God has created me to be!

I will have to post some pictures soon!!

Creative and successful day!

I was playing on Facebook today, for entirely to long as usual and I came up with a great idea. I was looking at all of the "My Year" posts on everybody's walls and thought, I could not sum up our whole year in nine pictures. SO...I am going to take as many pictures as I can this year, not necessarily once a day or two, or three. Just whenever I see something, grab my camera and snap it. Then at the end of the year make a collage of 365 pictures, to sum up our year! I am not going to post all nine from this year so far but here is one that I thought was cute (note: the flash really drained everything out but you have to snap fast when a cat is involved)

So many of you know that Aaron has Celiac disease which is an allergy to Gluten. If you don't know Gluten is in all flour and oat based foods. Flour, wheat, oats, and on. So baking/cooking has been a challenge. Since I love to do both, I had to get creative. Making it homemade is expensive and really out of the option since the all purpose flower is $8 for four cups. I have found a few brands that make really nice mixes with rice and corn flours. ( I know it sounds gross, but it really is good) Gluten Free Pantry and Gluteno have been the best so far for us.

I was walking down the baking isle a week or so ago and something caught my eye. A yellow box by Betty Crocker. It was Gluten Free mixes!! I was so excited and they were only $3-4 which is a really good price for "specialty" items. They had cake, brownie, and cookie mixes. I was a bit skeptical but hopeful at the same time.

I made the brownie mix tonight. When I made it all it called for was two eggs and 1/4 cup of butter, just like any other "boxed mix". It looked and smelled the same as regular brownie mix. I baked them and they smelled great...and....they tasted fabulous! I have posted some pictures for you below :)

Well ladies and gentlemen Betty Crocker does it again! If you are looking for Gluten Free baking ideas look for the yellow box! I hope they expand this line soon :)

Happy baking and picture taking!
